i currently have two girlfriends living it up across the world; paresa is in germany and adrienne is in egypt. i like to think of myself as a fairly strong female, but sometimes you just need your girls to lean on. i was having a rotten day last week, everything just seemed so blah and i was in major need of some girl time. with two of my closest out of country i ran through the local roster and they were all gone too! kelly had gone up to camp, emily moved to vancouver, lindsey was in nanaimo and sarah was at work and sister lives in victoria. so i did what any overwhelmed female would do, i had a full fledge pitty party and was mean to my boyfriend. when i started to cry in the car on the way to dinner he knew it must of been real bad (i save all my tears for the little things or the big moments, or wedding shows).
so instead of being mean to me, adam surprised me with...
a ukulele!!
it is proving to be harder than i had anticipated to learn because i am oh so very not musical. so i’m going to get a few lessons and maybe then i’ll be able to get strumming down...or maybe not.
so thanks boyfriend for brightening up my grey day...you’re the best.
